Spring Flowers in Blom

The last day with a bad internet connection (going to Vienna tomorrow and then back home Sunday), damn it’s been a tough one, almost gave up on it, but now I’m glad that I didn’t.

Looking forward to get back home and start posting on G+ and Facebook again, I couldn’t cope post on there as well.

Come Back to Me

I came by this tree line, just as the sun was about to set behind them. I enhanced the blue and orange colors in Lightroom, to get a bit more contrast between the two colors.

Gas Station Sunrise

Made an early morning in Battambang, Cambodia. I got a lot of attention while I was setting up for this photo, I think the people working at the gas station thought I was a little bit crazy, making photos here. But after a few minutes they got back to their jobs, and I could make this photo without been interrupted.

Head Towards the Light

December last year I ordered one of  Scott Jarvie photo from his SmugMug site, the shipping time was around 3 weeks (I live in Denmark, and My guess is that the print shop used is in the states) which was fine with me.

Well mid January I found a note from the post office saying that they had a package for me. off I went, but it was too late, the package had already been shipped back to sender.
It might have been My fault – finding the note a bit late – that I didn’t get the print.

I then contacted Smugmug Support Heroes, I told them what happened and asked them what I was suppose to do now. I was ready to pay the shipment cost again, because I kind of felt that it was My own fault that I missed it at the post office.
A few hours later I got a return email, saying that they would look into the matter.
And then a little later on I received an email saying that they would ship the print again without any extra cost for me, I just had to conform that the shipping address was correct.
I did and they ship the print again. I just received it a few days ago.

I’m happy to be a customer at Smugmug but I’m even happier that my customers (I’m selling prints from Smugmug as well) are customers there.

Thank you, Smugmug Support Heroes.

I Hope I’ll Never Get Stuck

My car got stuck in the gutter, when I pulled over to make this photo, I mean they have the biggest and deepest gutters in the country side in Japan, at first I couldn’t really deal with the problem at hand, I had a photo to make.

Afterwards I tried to get the car free, but it was really stuck, so I had to get some help. I started walking further down the road and ended up at a little house, about 10 min. later. I knocked on the front door, and got to talk to a really old lady (later I found out that it was the grandma), who didn’t understand anything I said, luckily there where some younger people in the house as well, who did. After I had explained my situation, we jump into their car a drove back to mine.

They had a look, and saw that there was nothing they could do, so they called the Japanese triple A, who would be there in a couple of hours. These lovely people then invited me to join them for dinner while I was waiting. I gladly accepted and had a wonderful couple of hours in their company.

When the triple A guy called, we drove back to My car, got it pulled out. I thanked them for their kindness, we said goodbye and I drove on.

A quick photo I made, a day I was out testing and comparing video performances on different cameras and lenses.

Morning Fog and Sun over Agua Caliente

Aqua Caliente SunriseBuy Print

I had been driving past this spot a few times, thinking that it would be an awesome place for a sunrise photo.
So one morning I got up very early and drove down here (1 hour drive), sat up My camera and waited for the sun to rise.
And what a sight, the whole valley was covered in fog, there where so much fog that I couldn’t even see the town down there.

I added a behind the action photo, for your enjoyment.
