
Kampong Phluk is normally “filled” with water; by that I mean it’s a floating city. But when you visit—like I did—right before the rainy season, it’s all dried up. Which is also kind of cool to see, because you have all these houses standing on tall poles, which normally keep them above water.
But then some people build a “basement” that they use in the dry season, like the one in this photo, I’m quite sure that this room will be flooded once the rain starts pouring down.
