
I just bought the new plug-in from Topaz called Impression. It imitates different kind of paintings, by that I mean it imitates the brush or pencil strokes, the colors and so forth from famous paintings and painters. It does a pretty good job. And the photos straight out of the software looks pretty cool, but I’m not – at least for now, you should never say never – into that kind of “paint effect” on photos. But I had an idea that it would be awesome to use the plug-in as a kind of texture machine.
And man, it’s really quite cool for that. I use it on this photo, wish I had made and before and after, so you could see the effect. But I’ll make sure to make one at some point, already got a few photos where I use Impression as a texture developer.
