I made this series of 3 photos from The Faroe Islands, all made on the same foggy evening on the southern most island Suðuroy.
This photo is not part of the series – it didn’t quiet fit in – but it was made on the same evening as the other ones.
My friend Brian convinced me that we should hike up this mountain on the other side of the fjord from where they live. He said we could do it in an hour, but I wasn’t so sure, I mean it was pretty high and steep.
We started to hike out around an hour before sunset, and he was right we did it in an hour, but I was almost dying of exhaustion and had a bad taste of blood in My mouth, when we got to the top, course it was a damn hard trip, I must admit I’m in no shape at all for hiking mountains, and on top of that I had to carry all My photo gear.
But man was it well worth it, I mean the view we had where just amazing.
Thanks for making me believe that I could make the hike, Buddy.
It’s kind of like an 2 years anniversary here on the blog, because today 2 years ago, was when I started to post a new photo every day, the blog had been up and running for about ½ a year or so, but in the beginning I only posted 2-3 photos a week.
Well to celebrate I’m posting a new “how I do it” video for your enjoyment. This video – and photo – was made on My trip to The Faroe Islands last summer.
Here’s another one from the morning after My all nighter on The Faroe Islands.
In the original I had the whole mountain above the houses, but I didn’t have it in the reflection, so I decided to crop the photo quiet a bit, to get the same amount of info above and below the water line.
