King of the Hill

Vo Tree sunsetBuy Print

This tree stands on a hill, not far from where My parents live. I think it’s about a 15 minutes walk.

I always wanted to capture a photo of the tree at sunset, but it’s funny how the things closest to you keeps getting postponed, you can always do it tomorrow.
Well I finally – about a year ago – got around to capture it, and I really like the outcome.

I also added a before and after comparison for you below.

A Faroese Sunset

This was the closet I got to a sunset, when I was on The Faroe Islands last year.

Not complaining, I still think this looks awesome.

Palouse Falls

This is a HDR from Palouse Falls State Park in Washington State. I stayed there a few nights ago, to get both sunset and sunrise in this very beautiful place.
But man it’s a hard place to shoot, if you want something a bit new. the sunset was absolutely epic, but it was it the “wrong” place – behind me – I have had to be on the other side of the waterfall in order to catch it, and then I don’t think it would have worked, because this place is rather low, and the sun would properly have been behind some hills on the horizon.
Sunrise was better – wasn’t quit as epic – but it was still a bit of from where I really would have liked it to be.

I still got away with some good photos from this place, so I’m not complaining. I mean it’s hard to make a “bad” photo in places like this.
