Sunrise in the Liwa Desert

Desert SunriseBuy Print

This was the main reason for my trip to United Arab Emirates, I wanted to see a real desert, there is something amazing and mesmerizing about them if you ask me.

This photo was made in the Liwa Sand Dunes in the southern part of the country, not far from the Saudi Arabian border.

The Flare and the Forest

I’m so in love with the flare in this photo, in My opinion it really makes the photo.

It’s a HDR from 5 RAW exposures, mixed in Photomatrix, then all exposures and the HDR were imported in to Photoshop for ghost removal and other corrections. Finally I added some Color Efx pro magic.

Tokyo by Night

Tokyo ViewBuy Print

This one is made from the top of the World Trade Center in Tokyo, where you have a great view of the city.
It’s made through a window and unfortunately the was some reflections from the window in the sky part of the photo, that I was able to remove, and that’s the reason for the photo being a bit to dark at the top to My liking’s, but I still like the rest of it and there for chose to post it here on the blog anyway.

Time to Get Away From it All

I was at this weekend long seminar/photo exhibition in the norther part of Zealand, but I found some time to get away from it all just around sunset on the second evening there, and lucky me, the sunset was pretty darn good-looking.

As mention before I rented a Jeep Wrangler – the coolest car ever – when I was in Mexico in 2011. I used it to driver out on all these small dirt roads you’ll find next to the main road, to see if I could find some nice photo locations, most of the time I ended up in some barb wired fence, and had to turn around and find me another road.
But once in a while I got to some magnificent location, like the one where I made today’s photo.

Tivoli Reflection

Some how the lens information are non existing in EXIF data for all My photos from that day, not quiet sure why and I really can’t remember which lens I used.
My guess would be My 14mm Samyang, but they don’t look like wide-angle photos.

Anyway, this photo was made in Tivoli, an amusement park right in the center of Copenhagen, if you’re ever in town, make sure you go there, it’s very beautiful.

Kneel Before Buddha

Kneel for BuddaBuy Print

I think I was standing here for almost an hour to get this photo, because there where people coming in all the time, and one family – I think they were Russian – spend a lot of time here, because every single one in the family should have a photo made in front of the Buddha figure. But I think it was worth the wait.

My second visit to Big Basin Redwoods State Park – first being in 2007 – I just love walking around these gigantic redwood trees. I’m going to Oregon and Washington State later this year, really looking forward to spend a lot of time with more of these guys.

White Limestone Cliff in Rügen

Another photo from My trip to Rügen, Germany April last year. Man I can’t believe that almost a year has pasted since I bought My Nikon D800, I remember it as being just a couple of months ago.
Well the only conclusion to that is that time flies, and the older you get the faster it goes……
