I was walking around and making pictures at Hawa Mahal in Jaipur, India – I’ll post more from there later on – when this family man asked me if I would be so kind and make a picture of them, I said yes but on one condition that I could make a picture of them with My own camera, he agreed and we both got our photos.
I duplicated this photo to two layers in Photoshop, the top layer I made to look like this old faded photo, and on the second layer i boosted the colors around 30%. I then made a layer mask and masked back the two women’s very colorful clothes.
In the Summer of 2006, I went on a road trip with 4 of My friends, we drove from Berlin all the way down to somewhere in the middle of Croatia and back again. It was one hell of a trip, cause we hadn’t planed anything, and it turn out that we all had different ideas of what the trip was all about, and sure enough we had our arguments, at one point I was ready to go to the nearest train station and take the next train home.
This makes It sound like it was a really bad trip, but looking back at it today, I it wasn’t that bad at all, there where many great moments as well, but I learned that if you are going on a road trip with more the 1 person, you really need to sit down and talk about what the trip should be like, you don’t have to plan it in minor details, but definitely sit down and have at talk about it.
This shoot was made in the small – and very cozy – Croatian town Rovinj, I was just walking around enjoying the hot weather, when I saw this lady walking her dog, she was walking up this small road, and just as I started shooting som pictures, she turn around as if she could hear the shutter clicking. Lucky me, cause that made the shot that much better.
I was quickly walking to the departure gate in Narita airport, Tokyo, I wasn’t late but there was only a few minutes until they would start boarding, just before reaching My gate I saw these two Japanese women sitting and looking at the planes passing by the window, I made a quick stop and grabbed My iPhone and snapped a few shoots before I continued to the gate and boarded My plane with I really good feeling about My last shot in Japan.
This is the very first Mobil phone shot I ever posted on the blog, The quality isen’t the best, but I really like the photo and desitede to post it anyway.
