I don’t know the English name for this plant, but it’s the one that’s used for making mustard – “Sennep” in Danish

I added a new concert galley called “Raven McCoy

My friend Rod asked me if I would help him make some photos of a friend and his band “Raven McCoy” playing live at Ungdomshuset here in Copenhagen, of course I said yes, a fun photo opportunity with a friend is always welcome.
It was quiet an experience, even though I’m a rock person, I must admit that it was hard for me to hear if they where singing in Danish or in English….or just screaming their lungs out, damn I sound just like my father now, am I really getting that old.

Well anyway click on the link above and see some young people with a lot of energy.

The photo above is from a trip to Bologna, Italy in 2007.
I don’t do black and white that offend – shamefully – but at the moment I’m in this black and white experimental mode, trying out different stuff, so hopefully you’ll see some more BW shoots here on the site in the future.

Oh So Quiet

Actually it’s not so quiet at all, what you can’t see (or hear) on the photo is the hundreds of sea lions laing all round roaring to each other, I don’t know what they are saying or why they are doing it, but it sure is loud.
This photo is made in Monterey, California, where I spent a night, on a highway 1 trip, from L.A. to San Francisco in 2007.

I haven’t done that much to the photo in post, added a little contrast, but not to much cause I didn’t want to ruin the foggy look, I also desaturated it a little.

Little Red Speed Devil

A month ago I was at a concert with Yoav here in Denmark. have you ever heard of him? If not you should definitely go check him out, his this cool – and a bit nerdy – musician from London.
He’s music it really great, and I can only recommend him so much.

The photo is from Bornholm (a small island in the Baltic sea, here’s another one from the same trip) I was there to do some work in spring 2007, but I also had some spare time that I spendt doing some photography around the island, it’s only 588 km2, So you’ll quickly get from one end to the other.
I can only recomend that if you plan on going to Bornholm, then do it in spring time cause that when it’s most beautyful, if you ask me.
This photo isen’t my best but I kind of like it anyway, I don’t know what it is…… maybe it’s the story behind the old used toy, I wonder how many kids have had the pleasure of playing with this little car.

The post process is very simple all done in Lightroom I added some contrast and a vignette, and finished of with a color adjustment, that’s it.

I was setting up for a shoot down this corridor, it is a covered sidewalk in Bologna, don’t know if you call that a corridor in English, well anyway, just as I was done setting up my tripod and so on, this man came walk from the other end of the sidewalk, and as I stood there waiting for him to pass, I noticed that he was checking the time, and in a split second I pushed the shutter release and ended up with this photo.

Converted to black and white and contrast adjusted in Photoshop, I also added a little grain to it.

I’m going to Barcelona in the middle of November, and I what to ask you what are the must see in that area? I’m only there for a few days, so I wont have time enough to get out of town. All proposal are welcome, but i’m mostly interestet in the really photogenic areas of the city and of course if you know of some nice places you don’t find in tourist guides.

Here are 5 things that I know i’m gonna see, and please let me know if some of them are a wast of time.

  1. La Seu
  2. Park Güell
  3. Columbus Monument
  4. Sagrada Familia
  5. Arc De Triomf

The photo is from Bologna, Italy, I spent a few days there in January 2007, this is one is shoot an early morning, while I was waiting for the airport bus to arrive, there wasn’t that may people out on the streets at that time, so it was nice and quiet and as I always do to kill time……I made me some photos.

I cloned away a part of a poster hanging on one of the pillars, and also added a light defuse to the photo in order to get a more dreamy kind of look.
And of course I adjusted color and contrast.
