Carlsberg’s Little Castle

Carlsberg’s Little Castle

This little castle is found at the old Carlsberg brewery here in Copenhagen, after it’s close down about a year ago, a lot of the outdoor areas has been opened up to the public, and definitely worth a trip, if you are in the neighbourhood.

  • Camera: NIKON D300

Picture Perfect

Picture Perfect

In September 2010 I attended a workshop on HDR photography with Trey Ratcliff in London, it was great fun and very instructive. Thanks a lot Trey and everyone else attending for make it a superb weekend.

We went to the British Museum (here’s a photo I made the first time I was there) to shoot some photos to use at the workshop, this is one of the photos I shot there and processed afterwards.
It’s not that often I make a black and white HDR photography (I think they are kind of hard to get just right). But this one worked better that way, cause the museum is almost “black and white” in real life.

It’s a 5 RAW exposure HDR made in Photomatrix. Converted to black and white and cleaned it up in Photoshop.

  • Aperture: f/5.6
  • Camera: NIKON D3S
  • Made: 12 September, 2010
  • Focal length: 24 mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/25 s

Red Rock & Blue Sky

Red Rock & Blue Sky

Another new initiative on the site is the “Photo Event Galleries” right here on the right side. Here you’ll find some mighty fine galleries from various events I be attending as a photographer. Go ahead give it a peak.

This HDR is from Red Canyon in Utah, where I made a short stop on My way to Bryce Canyon.
It’s pretty hard climbing up these steep hills with a tripod on your back, but I made it all the way up and down again without slipping on the loose gravel.

  • Aperture: f/11
  • Camera: NIKON D3S
  • Made: 28 July, 2010
  • Focal length: 24 mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/80 s

My Ansel Adams Tribute

My Ansel Adams Tribute

It wasn’t that long ago – about a year I think - that I heard about Ansel Adams for the first time and saw some of his photos.
I soon learned that there was a Adams exhibition in Gl. Holtegaard, a gallery in north Zealand not that far from where I live, so I went – of course – and I was blown away by most of his photos, it was a small exhibition, I think there was around 30-40 photos.

Well anyway this is My tribute to the late great photographer Ansel Adams – read more about him here.

Well, it’s all Lightroom once again that I used for post processing the photo. Converted it from color to black and white, added a lot of contrast the Ansel way, that’s it.
