There are a lot of “take a photo each day for 5 days” floating around these days.
I'm not sure if I like or dislike them, I'm in two right now, one on Facebook and one on Google+, and they are a bit different.
On FB it's just shoot and post anything you come across, and I really don't like that, I don't care if you were the only one at the supermarket this morning or if you broke the nail on your index finger. I know that's the point of “everyday photos” but people are already doing posting that sort of junk, we don't need a “challenge” to get them to do that. The result is just more people posting uninteresting photos from their lives. I'm not saying that people are having boring lives, it's just the photos they post that are.
On G+ it's a bit different – at least of the ones I've seen so far – here it's called a 5-day quest, and in my case I need to make and post 5 street photography photos each day. Now that's a cool thing because it makes you get out there and create something each day, for 5 days. And normally people are nominating other photographers. The result….. well you get out and make some photos, and you get out of your comfort zone and perhaps try something new.
